Open Casting Call for the 2009 Los Angeles Muscular Dystrophy Telethon

We are pleased to announce an open casting call for the 2009 Los Angeles Muscular Dystrophy Telethon

KCAL-9 and the Muscular Dystrophy Association are holding an open casting call to find a co-host for the Los Angeles broadcast of the 2009 Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon. The winner will appear along side our regular emcees for the chance of a lifetime. The Telethon will shoot September 6 – September 7. This is an unpaid hosting position for a non-profit. Winner will receive all meals, a dressing room, hair and make-up, and plenty of demo reels after the broadcast.

Audition Details

Note: You must complete an application and take it with you to the audition. Don't forget!

Anyone over the age of 18 is eligible

Please come prepared to talk about why you feel you should be the next host of the Telethon (up to 60 seconds). We will then ask you to read from a script to show us your hosting talent. Scripts will be provided at the audition and will not be provided in advance.

We are looking for applicants that possess the following characteristics:

    **Comfortable in front of the camera during a LIVE broadcast
  • **Ability to think on their feet
  • **Outgoing with personality
  • **Ability to read from cue cards
